About the Release
Slow Cosmic Demise is the debut album from Chamberwoman, blending alternative folk, indie pop and psychedelia with ethereal melodies and a darker emotional undercurrent. Moving between intimate, melodic passages and more expansive, intense moments, the album explores mortality, identity and existential uncertainty. Beneath its inviting surface, the music reveals a more unsettled and introspective character.

About the Artist
Chamberwoman is the project of Lutruwita/Tasmania-based songwriter Natalie Cardoza. Slow Cosmic Demise was created in close collaboration with Cornelius Cooper over four years, with Cardoza writing all the songs and both artists performing and sharing production duties. Cooper also recorded and mixed the album. Originally from Brisbane, Cardoza developed her songwriting practice while living in Mparntwe/Alice Springs before relocating to Tasmania in 2022. Her songwriting draws on personal experience and observation, exploring identity, relationships, isolation and change.
