About the Release
RCKNRLL captures Firefriend in full flight, recorded live at No. 74 in São Paulo on 27 August 2022. Fuzzed-out guitars, pounding bass and drums, keyboards and vocals combine into a dense psychedelic assault that draws on garage rock, noise, space rock and krautrock. The live setting gives the album a particularly physical and claustrophobic intensity, with the band’s improvisational instincts pushing the music into increasingly expansive and distorted territory.
