About the Release
Bhoy On The Wire is a cosmic and exploratory collection created as a 40th-anniversary tribute to On The Wire, the influential BBC Radio Lancashire programme hosted by Steve Barker. Originally recorded as an exclusive session for the show in 2024, the six pieces move between psychedelic folk, kosmische electronics, raga-inspired passages, drones and experimental soundscapes, unfolding with a loose, improvisational quality. The track titles map a journey through the Lancashire towns and places that have been part of Ajay Saggar’s connection with the region and the programme.
