About the Release
Rewilding sees Dead Sea Apes return to a stripped-back power-trio format, with guitar, bass and drums driving six tense and expansive psychedelic jams. Blown-out guitar, winding basslines and propulsive rhythms move between claustrophobic motorik passages, heavy riffs, drone and more spacious sections, giving the album a raw and physical energy. Developed over several years and shaped by the experience of returning to playing together, Rewilding captures the band’s improvisational instincts in a particularly direct form.
