About the Release

PACHI is the debut LP from Hobart’s Smug Anime Face, delivering a frantic collision of mathcore, noisecore, synth-punk and noise rock. Abrasive guitars, pulverising drums, chaotic synths and sudden shifts in pace create a relentlessly intense listen that packs an extraordinary amount into its brief runtime.

About the Artist

Smug Anime Face are a Nipaluna/Hobart-based trio comprising Cameron Foster, Axel Murphy and Sean Wyers. Their music blurs the boundaries between extreme heaviness, noise and electronic experimentation, combining dense textures, abrupt shifts and unconventional structures into a sound that is distinctly their own.
