Blue Fantasy Meets Plastic Crimewave Syndicate with Mac Blackout brings together two distinct strains of psychedelic rock on a split LP. Plastic Crimewave Syndicate and Mac Blackout push through acid-punk, synth-punk, freak-funk and freeform psychedelic noise, with Blackout’s saxophone adding another layer to the dense, restless sound. On the flip side, Blue Fantasy explore a more hypnotic space built from feedback, fuzz, jangling guitars, eerie organs and reverb-soaked vocals.

About the Artist
Plastic Crimewave Syndicate is the long-running Chicago project of musician and visual artist Steve Krakow, while Blue Fantasy features Saskatoon and Regina musicians Shelby Gaudet, Chris Laramee and Christopher Sleightholm. The members bring together experience from projects including Radiation Flowers, Shooting Guns, Wasted Cathedral, Snake River and The Sunshiny Daze, with this split connecting two distinct corners of the North American psychedelic underground.
