Tren Go! Sound System is a guitar, loop and fx driven one-man-band riding on feedbacks since 2006. Pedro Pestana (10,000 Russos and Talea Jacta) is the steel driving man behind this locomotive that crosses the most varied landscapes, blues, dub, shoegaze, techno, ambient, noise or world music.
Pedro released his first album Wooowoooo on Lovers & Lollypops and also Bedroom Music #1 on A Giant Fern, both in 2011. The live album Live At Plátano came out in 2017 by the hand of Martelo Pneumático. In 2021, TG!SS joined forces with Ornamental, the solo project of Sidney Jaffe, drummer/singer in Burnpilot and Arcane Allies – the result was Assessment that came out on Dirty Filthy Records and Pink Tank Records in 2021.
2022 saw the release of Suspended Islands OST. The soundtrack for Wura Moraes and Darya Efrat’s site-specific performance trajectory along Ria de Aveiro. The audience would attend the small island performances on boats and their route would be accompanied by this contemplative music. The estuary is the main source of inspiration for this soundtrack. The sweet and salty water’s apparent lack of waves doesn’t hide its own tidal rhythms. It’s a meeting place and we’re invited to visit.
